Electronic music trio Swedish House Mafia announced Saturday that they will part ways at the end of their upcoming tour. The group left a message to fans on their website, saying, “Today we want to share with you that the tour we are about to go on will be our last. We want to thank every single one of you that came with us on this journey. We came, we raved, we loved.”
SHM member Sebastian Ingrosso added his insight to the Twitterverse, saying “It’s better to burn out than fade away.”

Since their formation in 2008, Swedish House Mafia has become a mainstay in electronic music across the globe. The supergroup of producers Axwell, Steve Angello and Sebastian Ingrosso released six internationally-charting singles over the past three years, including collaborations with Laidback Luke and Tinie Tempah. They were most recently seen as contributing producers on Usher’s latest album, Looking 4 Myself, pumping up tracks “Numb” and “Euphoria.”
Their international star power has gained the respect of many of their dance producer colleagues, like David Guetta, A-Trak, Armin van Buuren and Zedd, who have all tweeted their support for the group since the announcement.

So @swedishousemfia stops touring. That’s a sad day for EDM. Love their energy.

Well… @swedishousemfia will be a legend for ever!

The trio has filled festival stages and arenas with singles like “Miami 2 Ibiza” and “Save The World,” with past appearances at Coachella, Electric Daisy Carnival, Ultra Music Festival and a sold-out Madison Square Garden.
Swedish House Mafia will be touring Europe through July, with their final dates scheduled to be announced in August.
