London is no different than a lot of other cities in America …it too has serious homelessness problems. But one thing it has that other cities don’t …the Duchess of Cambridge as its goodwill ambassador.
Kate Middleton is agreeing to join British TV star and activist Lisa Maxwell in a “Sleep Out” public awareness campaign that will shed light on London’s homeless issue. Kate is saying she will even sleep on the streets. Can you imagine if you saw that?
Lisa says, ”She asked me about sleeping out, so I said: ‘Next time I do it, you’re doing it with me. No excuses.”
Not to mention, Kate’s husband, Prince William is an advocate of this cause as well. He is a patron of the Centrepoint charity which aims to “give homeless young people a future.
Lisa wasn’t shy about useing that as a tactic to wheel Kate in, saying “He’s done it.” Kate then had no other choice but to comply, saying “you’re on!”
