I guess our cry out for Stevie to “Please Don’t Go” didn’t work because it was announced yesterday that Suns veteran Steve Nash will be taking his talents to Laker Nation.
Nash, who spent the last eight seasons here in Phoenix, was traded to the Los Angeles Lakers in a sign-and-trade agreement that would give Nash a three-year, $27 million contract. In return, the Suns get four draft picks – first rounders in 2013 and 2015 and second rounders in 2013 and 2014.

As much as the city of Phoenix didn’t want to see this happen, it was something that Nash wanted. The 38-year-old point guard has never won an NBA Championship and has never even reached the NBA Finals. He has done a lot for this city and we will forever be grateful for that. He will always be a respected player and we truely wish him (not the Lakers) the best. But really Nash, you just HAD to go to the rival team? Lol … *side eye*
And it seems as if there are no hard feelings from the Suns organization either. His former teammate Jared Dudley tweeted that Nash:
”has not only been the best but the most unselfish player I ever played with. I only wish him the best. He deserves everything. Steve Nash has made many players millions. Only fitting to trade to a team that has a chance to win the ship and pay what he deserves.”
