This is HUGE news …of course only if it’s true! The latest in American Idol news is that the Queen Barb herself, Nicki Minaj will be the NEXT Aaaaaammmmeeerrrrican Idol judge …. as Ryan Seacrest would say.

This is not 100% confirmed, however, many people involved with both Nicki and AI’s camp are saying the deal is basically done. Nicki just needs to sign a few more things and she will officially be sitting next to Mariah Carey. My question is …how is the chemistry between Nicki and the biggest Diva of all time going to work out, especially considering that Mariah was promised that she was going to be the only female judge. Totally something only a Diva would care about.

Obviously, I say who cares? Nicki being on there is going to be the biggest move that show could have made. With 14 million barbs around the world, they are sure to boost ratings. I know i’ll be watching …religiously!

Nicki even tweeted that she had a ‘special surprise’ for her beloved followers yesterday:

This all could be summed up with one word: EPIC!

Even an Idol insider reveals:

“I’m not sure the deal is completely done yet, but yes, she is definitely doing it, a few more slight things to sign off on but it is happening.”

I have no idea how this news got past ME us, but well done Nic! The only rumors we’ve heard about Steven Tyler’s replacement were Diddy and Alanis Morissette. So until the official announcement, i’ll just be sitting here …waiting …not so patiently.

Watch out X-Factor. Nicki and Mariah vs. Britney and Demi ….those are some heavy hitters!
